Top 5 Music Moments of 2013

This is not a list for the best songs.

Every one of us has experienced that moment. Everyone of us has been to that stage.That orgasmic point in a song, not the whole track, where you just forget about the rest of the world and completely immerse yourself in that particular moment, that short period that may last for not more than 2-5 seconds. Actually, those moments are sometimes so good that whenever you play a song, you listen it just for that particular piece and wait eagerly for it to come. When it finally comes and falls on your ears, all you can think of is to close your eyes and dance to the tune with a faint smile on your face or just go bat-shit crazy and air guitar/air drum the fuck out of yourself. The songs themselves may not be the best song on the album, but they have something that other songs don't.

 There are just so many songs that could have made the list. Finally, I thought to short the list down to just 10 songs but then again, it was getting really hard to leave some songs out so I have rpepared this list of just 5 songs.
Here are some music moments that blew my mind this year.

Best Albums of 2013

One more year. One more list.

This year was good for music. At times, it got hard for me to continue listening new materials because I would still be jamming to some older records. There was at least one good album out every month. The result is that the year has ended and I have yet to listen several albums properly which includes the likes of  Amok, Vampire Weekend, Foals, Eminem, QOTSA, Paramore, PaTD!, ADTR etc. But luckily, I managed to give enough time to the records that actually mattered. Specially, the latest release from Arcade Fire. So without wasting anymore words, let's look at the albums that made the cut this year!

Arctic Monkeys' AM Review

The album opener has a line where Alex sings,"there's this tune I found which makes me think of you somehow and I play it on repeat". Well, I guess then that there's not just one tune but almost every song on this has those tunes which will make you think of someone and you'll play them on repeat but I'm not sure if that will make you fall asleep as sometimes they are too subtly haunting to make you restless and give you nightmares! This album is an instant classic! I absolutely love this album. That being said, let's begin the review ;)

MY HIGHEST RATED ALBUMS (2000-2010)

Compiling the list for best albums is always a tough task. It is never about the best songs or the biggest hits. For me a perfect album is the one which you can listen right from the beginning and finish it at one go even after listening the whole for more than thousand times. An album has a concept, it's not just a collection of random songs. It's a string of sounds, a short story, a movie. For me an album is a like a person. Knowing and loving the songs on an album is like knowing or loving the qualities of a person.

There are many other great albums that I've listened from past decade. Bands like U2, Linkin Park, Muse etc. have very good albums.But as I said before, it's about finishing the whole album at one go, not just now but even long after I will finish this sentence.
