8: Conversations with a Mirror

Sometimes when I get alone,

I face the mirror and talk

Reminiscing of days long gone

Damn! Life's a long slow walk

And I tried to run, runaway far away

Wait! Stop! Watch!

See, things these pity people got to say!

Well, sometimes when I sleep, I pray

And never forget to say

Whatever happens to me , please God, don't let my mind stray

Sometimes when I close my eyes

I see your face

For a sec, I see you clearly

But then it fades

And it feels like a race

Against time, against whole human race

Let's cut to the chase

I don't belong here, specially since you left

Left me lost in your eyes' maze

Sometimes on times like these, I try too hard

Try too hard to make a fresh start

See, this world's a stupid game

And I feel like just another name

We do it for the fun, laugh and fame

And on the run, we live it for the dame

But who's too blame? Ain't we all the same?

They show pictures full of colours

And try to lock you down in one frame

See, when sometimes I think of silly things

Wondering what's the aim for us human beings

What happiness actually means

If it's always followed by same sad scenes

Of broken hearts on black and white screens

Of empty spaces left within

And in the end, see, sorrow always wins
